Пояснения к демонстрационному варианту устной части

контрольных измерительных материалов единого государственного экзамена 2017 года по АНГЛИЙСКОМУ ЯЗЫКУ

При ознакомлении с демонстрационным вариантом устной части контрольных измерительных материалов ЕГЭ 2017 г. по английскому языку следует иметь в виду, что задания, включённые в него, не отражают всех вопросов содержания, которые будут проверяться с помощью вариантов КИМ. Полный перечень вопросов, которые могут контролироваться на едином государственном экзамене, приведён в кодификаторе элементов содержания и требований к уровню подготовки выпускников образовательных организаций для проведения единого государственного экзамена 2017 г. по английскому языку.

Назначение демонстрационного варианта заключается в том, чтобы дать возможность любому участнику ЕГЭ и широкой общественности составить представление о структуре будущих КИМ, количестве заданий, об их форме и уровне сложности. Приведённые критерии оценки выполнения заданий с развёрнутым ответом, включённые в этот вариант, дают представление о требованиях к полноте и правильности развёрнутого ответа в устной форме. Эти сведения позволят выпускникам выработать стратегию подготовки к ЕГЭ.

Инструкция по выполнению заданий

Устная часть КИМ ЕГЭ по английскому языку включает в себя 4 задания.

Задание 1 – чтение вслух небольшого текста научно-популярного характера.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

В задании 2 предлагается ознакомиться с рекламным объявлением и задать пять вопросов на основе ключевых слов.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

В задании 3 предлагается выбрать одну из трёх фотографий и описать её на основе плана.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

В задании 4 ставится задача сравнить две фотографии на основе предложенного плана.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

Общее время ответа одного экзаменуемого (включая время на подготовку) – 15 минут.

Каждое последующее задание выдаётся после окончания выполнения предыдущего адания. Всё время ответа ведётся аудио- и видеозапись.

Постарайтесь полностью выполнить поставленные задачи, старайтесь говорить ясно и чётко, не отходить от темы и следовать предложенному плану ответа. Так Вы сможете набрать наибольшее количество баллов.

Speaking Part

Task 1

Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.

The first maps were drawn by explorers to help them find their way home and show people where they had been. The maps showed the shape of the land, distances between places and special features such as caves and old trees. Nowadays, maps show the towns and villages, and the roads, railways, rivers and mountains. Symbols are used to show all the different things on a map and there is a key to explain what the symbols stand for.

Over the centuries, people explored most of the Earth and put together the map of the world we use today. Maps of the world or large areas are often either “political” or “physical”. The political map shows territorial borders. The purpose of the physical map is to show features of geography such as mountains, soil type or land use including roads, railroads and buildings.

You are considering buying the appliance and now you’d like to get more information. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask five direct questions to find out about the following:

5) recipe book to go with the unit

You have 20 seconds to ask each question.

  • Can I buy this kitchen blender online? / Is there any possibility to buy this unit online? / Is online purchase of this unit available? / Is this kitchen unit available for online purchase?

Task 3

These are photos from your photo album. Choose one photo to describe to your friend.

You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:

  • where and when the photo was taken
  • what/who is in the photo
  • what is happening
  • why you keep the photo in your album
  • why you decided to show the picture to your friend

You have to talk continuously, starting with: “I’ve chosen photo number …”

Well, recently I have decided to start a blog about a healthy lifestyle. I write short stories about healthy food. Also, I often take pictures of my friends and relatives to show to my followers (readers) which exercises they do to keep fit. (вступление) 3

So, this picture was taken a week ago when my sister and I went jogging in our park near the river. 1

In the foreground of the photo you can see my elder sister Stacy. She is running in the park at the moment. The morning is sunny and quite warm, so Stacy is wearing a nice T-shirt. (I should say that coral is her favourite colour.) She looks pretty slim because she does her regular exercises and keeps on a healthy diet (maintains a balanced diet). She says it always helps her to be in a good mood and shape. (6)

In the background of the picture there are lots of green trees. The air is usually fresh in the morning. And I think it’s the best time for doing sports. (3)

I keep this photo in my album because I am going to use it on my blog. (1)

I know that you are trying to lose some weight. So, I show you the photo of my sister to encourage you to take up jogging. Also, to gain the best results, you can follow her eating habits advice. (3)

Task 4

Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:

  • give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
  • say what the pictures have in common
  • say in what way the pictures are different
  • say which of the ways of reading a book presented in the pictures you’d prefer
  • explain why

You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Sample answer

Now I will compare and contrast [kən´traːst] these two photos.

I’d like to stress out right from the beginning that such hobby as reading gives you an excellent opportunity to learn new things wherever you are: at home, on the bus, at the sunny beach and even in the queue (in the line). And these two photos prove that. (вступительная фраза) (2)

So, the theme which relates these photos is a reading activity. (1)

Let me start with the first picture which shows a young girl who is sitting on the sofa. She might be in her flat at the moment. She is absorbed in reading. I cannot say for sure but it seems to me she is holding an e-book in her hands. (4)

As for the second picture you can see a young girl who is travelling by underground (metro). She is standing near the window and is reading a book, too. I really like the combination of clothes she is wearing at the moment. This checkered short-sleeved shirt worn over a white one makes her look pretty stylish. (4)

As I’ve already mentioned both pictures depict young girls that are reading right now. And this is the main similarity between them. Also both girls are practically of the same age. (2)

The most evident (obvious) difference between these pictures is that in the first picture you can see a girl who is enjoying reading in a cozy couch at home while in the second picture the girl is shown reading in public transport. Besides, the girl in the first picture is wearing a lovely dressing gown whilst the girl in the second picture is wearing her casual clothing. Moreover, the girl in picture 1 is using a modern electronic gadget whereas the girl in picture 2 prefers reading a hardback. (3)

In conclusion I would like to say that as I am a fan of modern technologies, I would prefer to read an e-book sitting comfortably in my room. (1)

Здравствуйте, дорогие друзья!

Рада приветствовать Вас на страницах моего сайта.

Продолжаем нашу подготовку к Устной части ОГЭ. Сегодня рассмотрим образцы выполнения заданий, которые представлены  в одном из вариантов открытого банка заданий ФИПИ. Особую сложность в этом варианте представляет Задание 2 (условный диалог-расспрос), тема которого связана с проблемами экологии. Скажите, ну кто из вас часто обсуждает эту тему со своими друзьями? Ищет решения проблем загрязнения окружающей среды (читай «поселка или города, в котором живешь»)? Проблем как всегда много, особенно в крупных промышленных городах. Поскольку мы живем в небольшом районном центре, то и проблемы с учениками обсуждали местного характера. Буду  рада, если наш опыт поможет вам в подготовке к экзамену.

Task 1

You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, and then be ready to read it aloud. Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud.

The carrot is a root vegetable which consists mostly of water and sugar. The carrots that we eat today originated from the wild ones which grew in Europe and Asia. The vegetable tasted sweet and the people began to use it as food.

There are two main types of carrots. There are eastern carrots that have dark purple roots and western carrots with orange roots. In fact, orange carrots first appeared in Europe in 1721. Dutch farmers selected orange carrots because orange is the colour of the Dutch Royal Family. Now orange carrots are widely grown all over the world. In modern households carrots are cooked and eaten in different ways. The vegetable is boiled, fried, baked and eaten raw. People also make juice from it.

Electronic assistant: Where would you like to live: in a big city or in the country?

Student: You know I was born in a small town (village). But I dream to live in a big city because big cities give an exciting opportunity for studying, for relaxing, for shopping.  For example, I am going to be a doctor (an IT specialist, a lawyer) and want to study at the university. Also, I think you can get a better job here. Moreover, cultural life is very rich in big cities. 

Electronic assistant: What are the advantages of living in the country?

Student: I believe that life in the countryside is less stressful. You don’t have to spend hours stuck in the traffic jams. The air is much cleaner there. Moreover, if you are fond of healthy food you can grow fruit and vegetables in your own garden.

Electronic assistant: What is the main ecological problem in the place where you live?

Student: In fact, a very dramatic problem in our town is that people throw rubbish everywhere: in the streets, in the forests, along the river banks. It seems to me that if the situation doesn’t improve, we will live in the landfill (garbage bump) in the nearest future. 

Electronic assistant: Do you and your friends care about ecological problems? Why?

Student: Of course, we do. Actually, my friends and I are concerned about ecological problems because we want to breathe clean air, to swim in clean rivers and lakes and enjoy watching beautiful landscapes and stunning views of wild nature. We want to keep our place suitable for living for the future generations.

Electronic assistant: Have you ever taken part in any ecological projects at school?

Student: Yes, last autumn we interviewed 1000 people of our town in order to learn if they use “the rule of 3R’s” in their everyday life. “3R’s” means reduce, reuse and recycle. Unfortunately very few people try to follow them. So, we wrote an article in the local newspaper to give some ideas on this issue.

Electronic assistant: What would you recommend to a person who wants to improve ecological situation in his or her hometown?

Student: Let me think. Well, I will recommend a person to follow some very simple rules. First of all, always put litter into the dustbin. Secondly, never cut down trees and wild flowers in the forests and parks. Thirdly, stop buying food and drinks in packagings which can’t be recycled.

Electronic assistant: This is the end of the survey. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Now I am going to talk about holidays in Russia. (вступительная фраза)

— In Russia like in many other countries we have got lots of holidays. The most popular among them are New Year’s Day, Christmas, Easter, Women’s Day, May Day and Victory Day. (2)

I think that each holiday is wonderful in its own way. As for me, I like New Year’s Day most of all because it is time when everything looks magic. I should say that we never stay in town for New Year’s celebrations. We always enjoy spending time in our country house. We usually invite our friends to see the New Year in. Our family has got a fantastic tradition to decorate a fir-tree which grows in our yard. At midnight we wish each other happiness in the coming year, dance around a beautifully decorated New Year Tree, pull crackers and shoot fireworks. Then we light a fireplace in the living room and my dad sings to the guitar for us. (8)

It goes without saying that we give presents to each other. I like giving presents more than receiving them because I enjoy making my dearest and nearest feel happy. (As for me, I prefer receiving presents because I like when my parents and friends try to make a surprise for me.) (2)

To sum it up, I should say that I like holidays because they are days when we can relax, meet our friends and have fun together. (заключительная фраза)
