Записи с меткой music in my life
To my mind people can’t live without music. We can hear it everywhere: in the streets and at home, over the radio and on TV, in the shops and in the parks. People all over the world are fond of music. They listen to music, dance to music, and learn to play musical instruments.
Modern music is quite different from the music of the past centuries. But in all times people expressed their feelings and emotions with the help of music. People are not alike that’s why there are so many various styles in music, for example, classical, folk, rock, jazz, reggae, rap, hip-hop, R&B, etc.
Nowadays singers and songs become popular very quickly thanks to special radio programs and TV channels. A lot of people enjoy listening to Love Radio, Retro FM, Hit FM, Russian Radio and others especially while travelling. This makes their journeys more cheerful and pleasant. Without any doubt the most favourite TV channels are MTV and Bridge TV.
As for me I’m not a fan of any special singer or group. I like many of them and it depends on my mood what music I want to listen to at the moment.
It may seem strange that I switch on slow, quiet and a bit melancholic songs when everything is excellent and I feel happy. But when something goes wrong and I'm about to cry I need to hear other music. So it helps me to overcome my depression and makes me stronger. It may be “The Show Must Go On” by Freddie Mercury or “The Fairy Tale Gone Bad” by Sunrise Avenue.
(As the proverb says: “Tastes differ”. So, my favourite style of music is pop music, because it is full of energy. When I listen to pop music, it makes me remember happy times and forget the problems of everyday life. It helps me to relax when I’m tired and entertains me when I’d like to have fun. As for my parents, they prefer listening to bard music. Their favourite singer is Timur Shaov. His ballads are always full of humour and up-to-date describing hot society problems. )
As I have no special preferences, there is a big collection of music in my computer files for any occasion. I’d like to add that among our family friends there are some people who love and appreciate good quality music. They often visit concert halls and the Philharmonic in order to listen to works by famous composers such as Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov and others.
Some of my classmates take their music classes at the Art school and learn to play different musical instruments such as the piano, the violin, the balalaika, the trumpet and the drums. I have always wanted to play the guitar but unfortunately I have no ear for music.
In big cities teenagers are used to spending their weekends clubbing, dancing and relaxing all night long.
In conclusion I must admit that music is the thing that makes my life brighter, it unites people and keeps up their spirits.
Listen to one of Timur Shaov's songs here. Enjoy it!
P.S. Timur was glad to hear that lots of my students know his songs. He gave me a permission to download his photos and songs on my site. I'm so happy that at last my dream came true and I managed to visit his live concert that took place in Voronezh on 15 th of February 2018.
